The 2008 Ohio Public Safety Patriot Bowl
A Charity Event
Cleveland Warriors and the Columbus Police Department
Bulldogs |
Intended as the first "annual event', the game
ended an outstanding first season for the Cleveland Warriors who
finished 4 wins and two losses in Public Safety Football league.
The Patriots Bowl was staged as a charity event with the Columbus
Police Department Bulldogs, anticipated to enter the Public Safety
Football League in 2009. The mayor of Cleveland tossed the
coin at the beginning of the game and shoes, donated by Warriors
sponsors, were given to players of the
Cleveland Muny
Football League. Half time included exhibition play
among the Muny Football players. It was a competitive, hard
hitting, close game between the Warriors and Bulldogs. The
Bulldogs should do well next year and are a welcome added addition
to the league.
